AEQUITAS HEALTH

Aequitas Health Journal is an online medical humanities and scientific journal which publishes a wide range of submissions such as scholarly non-fiction work on a variety of topics (including social issues, biography, self-reflections, ethics, and education), scholarly fiction, poetry, and health services research targeted at health equity and disparities.

 

All submissions are subject to review by the Aequitas Health Journal Editorial Board. All contributors must be active Fellows in good standing of Aequitas Health.

 

 

Instructions:

 

• Submissions must not have been published elsewhere or be under consideration by other publications.

 

• Submissions should be no more than 2,500 words and, other than poetry, no less than 500 words, excluding references (approximately 2 to 10 pages). 

 

• Format of submissions should be in numbered pages with 12-point type (Times New Roman), double-spaced, and one-inch margins. References should be in AMA format with no more than 10 references.

 

• All submissions should include a cover letter (detailing the transfer of copyrights and any actual or perceived conflicts of interest) and a title page (with title, tagline, word count, author name, institution, and email address). The tagline consists of a 1 sentence summary of the submission.

 

• Submissions should be high quality and free from grammatical and punctuation errors. Submissions will be rejected if significant errors are discovered.

 

• Submissions should be addressed to the Editor of Aequitas Health Journal at health.equity@aequitashealth.org

 

 

The review process should take less than 4 weeks and accepted submissions may be lightly edited for style, grammar, and punctuation in conjunction with the author.
